Two
days of fun and excitement! Just bring your toothbrush!
No experience needed
(just your sense of adventure!) Your
overnight stockman's camp adventure starts in the early afternoon as you hop in
the saddle and ride through native Australian bush, with tall majestic gum trees,
grasslands and views of Lake Wivenhoe. We reach the Stockman's Camp after a few
hours and here you can either relax under the shady trees or help with the horses.  Our
overnight camp is specially selected for its beautiful natural location (we have,
however, installed some modern amenities!). The setting is wonderful and you can
relax around the campfire while the camp staff prepares a delicious meal ready
for the evening. The smell of food cooking really stirs up that appetite!
Conversation
around the campfire always leads to some good yarns and a few tall stories. The
stars are beautifully clear out here, and the Milky Way forms a sparkling pathway
across the sky. You feel wrapped in a cocoon of darkness with the fire is the
centre of our universe for the night. You will enjoy your sleep in a swag under
the stars - it is a real adventure and will be a night you'll remember!  Day
breaks, and the smell of breakfast cooking gets everyone on the move. There is
no rush but the morning sun will have you up after a good night's sleep! After
a big stockman's breakfast, it's into the saddle again for your morning ride.
A
comfortable two-hour ride takes you through wild deer and kangaroo country - the
quiet paddocks where these animals like to feed. You will be going through the
cattle creep tunnel under the road and will get wonderful views of the shores
of Lake Wivenhoe, and return to camp via the old cattle stock route.  It
is a really beautiful morning's ride - and something we guarantee you will remember!
