Mountain
Lake Adventures provides you with one great fun day - our Australiana Day! You
will try your hand at damper cooking - and eating it too, of course! - in the
midst of a great day of trail riding with some koala spotting in the wild.Upon
arrival, our guests will be served a traditional Australian morning tea, after
which they will be divided into three groups. Each group will complete a different
activity, and then rotate, until all three activities are experienced.  Activity
1: Horse
Riding
Our
group leaders will take this group through our property, where cattle graze. You
will take in the beautiful Australian bushland whilst making your way to a point
where you have breath-taking views of Lake Wivenhoe and the surrounding countryside.
We have horses especially trained for taking beginner riders, as well as horses
for the more experienced horseman. After
the first activity, our guests will be served their lunch. You will be offered
a smorgasbord consisting of a large variety of cold meats, fresh garden salads,
crusty rolls, fresh fruit platters and juice.  Activity
2: Damper Making, Branding & Boomerang Throwing
Each
person in this group will help in the preparation and cooking of a damper, which
will later be served for afternoon tea. While the damper is cooking, you will
be given a short talk and demonstration on how we brand our cattle. You get to
experience branding first hand as we supply you with a small piece of wood that
you brand with our property brand and take home as a memento of your visit to
us. We take you to our open area to try your hand at throwing our authentic boomerangs.

3: Koala Spotting You
can also accompany us on a short drive into local bushland where you can see koalas
in their natural habitat. |
